The Zionist Federation of So. Africa and the New Zionist Organization here today each addressed memorandums to their respective world executives asking for unity in the Zionist movement.
The memorandums point out that such unity can be achieved if the following conditions are accepted by the executives of both movements: 1. The NZO shall cease its existence and its members will enter the World Zionist Organization as a party on the basis of fair and adequate representation; 2. The NZO recognizes the Jewish National Fund and the Keren Hayesod, on the other hand the Shekel must be given free to all persons favoring the Zionist Basle Program, so that participation in the elections to Zionist Congresses will not be restricted only to those who pay for the Shekel.
