Labor Zionists gathered last night to pay tribute to the memory of Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff, Zionist leader who was murdered on the beach at Tel Aviv June 14, 1933.
Meeting at the Pennsylvania Hotel, mourners heard Zionist leaders eulogize the Jewish leader.
Speakers at the affair included Louis Lipsky, Abraham Goldberg, Joseph Sprinzak, Mrs. Goldie Myerson, Joseph Schlossberg and Chaim Greenberg.
“IN PRIME OF LIFE”
“While partisan bitterness prevails and feelings are aroused by trials and appeals in which his dead body is being further maltreated,” Mr. Lipsky said, “it is difficult to speak of the personality and quality of Chaim Arlosoroff with that objectivity and softness which the subject requires. He was cut off by assassins in the prime-of life, eager and ambitious, just as his leadership was becoming manifest in the development of the Jewish National Home.
