Maybe he is the anti-Goliath, and the beard kept him meek and calm? Whatever it may be, a fresh-faced Matisyahu reportedly attacked a photographer during his show at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg this week. “At first I assumed he was trying to crowdsurf, that he wasn’t deliberately trying to step on me,” said photographer…

In true “Borat” fashion, Sasha Baron Cohen has decided to toe the line of propriety and release a statement about Kim Jong Il’s death… as the main character from his new movie, The Dictator. The statement, which was faxed to The Huffington Post, reads as follows:
I am saddened to learn of the passing of my dear friend Kim Jong-Il. Our thoughts go out to his wife and 813 children.”K-Jo” was a great leader, good friend and average double’s badminton partner. He died as he lived, in 3 inch lifts. An extraordinary man, he did so much to spread compassion, wisdom and uranium throughout the world.
On behalf of myself, Ahmadinejad, Chavez, and Newt Gingrich, we would like to welcome his son, Kim Jon-Un into the “Axis of Evil”
Oh, my. So many different ways that this could be offensive. Mocking the dead? Hating on Gringrich? Let’s just go for the fact that Cohen now fancies himself a dictator that mocks eulogizes real-life tyrants.
Also, here’s a copy of the actual fax:

Move over, PETA. Alicia Silverstone (our Jewish hook here), Ryan Gosling, and Zooey Deschanel (to name a few of the 10 irate celebrities involved) are metaphorically throwing red paint all over McDonald’s fur coat. After a recent controversy, the fast-food giant immediately severed ties with Sparboe farms, an egg supplier accused of engaging in animal…

Although I will forever view her as my favorite 90s sitcom star, Mayim Bialik has become the Jewish force to reckon with. Not only is she a neuroscientist, a journalist, and a star of a hit television show, but she is also a very nice lady. Bialik recently teamed up with Jewish singing sensation The Maccabeats to raise money for the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation. The Maccabeats are hoping to raise $80,000 by the end of Chanukah for the organization with Bialik’s help and support. For every $18+ donation, the donor will receive a gift. The gifts start small, with things like free mp3s, and build up to bigger things like an autographed photo of Mayim Bialik. All donors are entered in a lottery to win one of six grand prizes, which includes a guest spot in the new Maccabeats video, Big Bang memorabilia, a phone call from Mayim, or having lunch with the Maccabeats.

No, really. In possibly the best exhibition of Israeli humor, a man born Rotem Guez recently changed his name to Mark Zuckerberg, for no other reason than to mess with the Facebook mogul himself. A self-made entrepreneur, Guez started a “Like Store” where businesses could buy “likes” for their Facebook pages. Since this clearly violates…

In a recent caught-on-camera moment with TMZ, Michael Buble tried his best to sing for his kosher supper. After the camera man proposed a duet with Buble (who is famous for his Christmas jingles) he sheepishly admitted that he doesn’t really have a favorite Christmas song because he is Jewish. “So let’s do a Chanukah…
