David A. Brown, former director of the $14,000,000 relief campaign for Jewish war sufferers, was first to file petitions for Mayor of Detroit. Mr. Brown submitted 12,350 signatures. Under the law, a candidate for the Detroit Mayoralty must submit at least 6,80 names.
