Immigration Inspector Acquitted of Bribery Charge

William Leonard, former immigration inspector at Ellis Island was acquitted yesterday in Federal District Court of alleged acceptance of bribes to permit aliens to enter this country without standing proper examinations.

The jury deliberated less than an hour and was discharged by Judge Louis Fitzhenry after returning its verdict.
