An attempt by the police authorities to discredit the textile workers strike now going on in Lodz is seen in the arrest today of thirty-one Jewish workers, charged with throwing stones in strike disorders.

The Jewish prisoners absolutely deny the charge, and the general belief prevailes in informed circles that the arrests were made to make it appear that the strike is a Jewish movement rather than one of the textile workers generally.
