In unravelling the conspiracy of monarchist anti-Semitic forces in Roumania who had contemplated a “putch” against the Government, the police discovered that to facilitate the massacre of the Jews the coup was planned for Yom Kippur.

It is also disclosed that important army men were involved in the uprising, having intended to seize the state in a manner similar to that in Spain. The government, it is said, discovered the plot one hour before it was scheduled to come off. All leaders, including eight army generals, have been imprisoned.
