Roumanian Papers Confirm Excesses Denied by Minister to U.S.

The excesses at Husi reported from here by denied by Prince Bibesco, Roumanian Minister at Washington, are confirmed by two Roumanian papers arriving here.

According to the “Adeverul” on October 1, the synagogue at Postelnicu was entered by a mob which smashed the alter and generally plundered the house of worship. The Jewish bathhouse and the trikotage factory of Rubenstein were also damaged. The synagogue has been closed since on account of the damage.

The Roumanian paper “Aurora” also reports the disturbances.
