Joseph Aksler, traffic manager of the Palestine railways, has been asked to resign, no reason being given for the dismissal.

Mr. Aksler was one of the highest Jewish officials in the country. He came here from Egypt where he had had a long and successful career as railway administrator. Announcement of his resignation has been received with surprise and regret, especially in Jewish circles.
