The Polish quota on December 8 dropped to 1307 as a result of further reports from immigration ports. Sudden fluctuation in the quota resulting in a decrease of over 2,000 since November 30, when the Polish quota stood at 3408, threatened the same abnormal excess quota situation next month as occurred last month in the Russian quota which ended in the deportation order for several hundred Jewish immigrants.
