The Daily Express, in an editorial, again demands the withdrawal of the British forces from Palestine and Mesopotamia, declaring that the holding of Palestine is a monstrous invasion, making the Arab population subservient to a handful of Jews by means of the bayonet. The editorial further states that Henderson’s statement to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. Jewish “garbardine,” and that the only chance of the British forces getting out of Baghdad and Jerusalem is the return of the Conservative Party to power. The statements of the Daily Express are regarded in well-informed circles as merely political posing and a bid for anti-Zionist votes for the Conservatives.
