An American Zionist has bequeathed the sum of $5,000. to the Jewish National Fund as a legacy on condition that if one of his heirs should come to Palestine, he should receive the land bought by the J.N.F. for this sum.

As the underlying principle of Jewish National. Fund activity is the nationalization of land, the Executive decided to accept the sum of $5,000. on condition that if the heir should come to Palestine he can receive the land on a 50 year lease as in other cases of J.N.F. land agreement. The heir will have the additional privilege of exemption from payment of rent.

It is of interest to note that this practice of bequeathing legacies of substantial amounts to the J.N.F. has recently been extensively repeated.
