Sir Alfred Mond, English liberal leader and Zionist, formerly Minister of Public Works in Lloyd George’s Cabinet was elected to Parliament yesterday, Carmarthan constituency. Out of the general vote cast 12760 were given for Sir Alfred Mond, 8351 votes for the labor candidate Rev. Owen and 7896 for the conservative candidate, Stevens.

Sir Albert Mond will succeed Griffith, who resigned for the purpose of giving Sir Alfred a possibility for reelection. It was stated that Sir Alfred will assume leadership of the Liberal party in the House of Commons.
