“Great Britain will be engaged in wars and in disastrous fighting until it evacuates Mesopotamia, Palestine, TransJordania and the entire Middle East”, the London Daily Mail comments editorially after reviewing the situation in the Middle East the warfare between Mesopotamia and Turkey in the district of Mosul, and the war between the Wahabis and King Hussein. “It was the British who drove the Wahabis from TransJordania”, the paper states and asks, “What right have the British to interfere in this TransJordanian controversy?” The paper further states that if Great Britain is to intervene in the fight around Mecca, it will arouse all Islam against her.
