Mayor Hylan praised the charitible work of the Independent Order of the Free Soas of Israel, which celebrated its seventy-fifth anniversary last night at the 202d Regiment Armory, at 268th Street and Fort Washington Avenue There were 10,000 persons in the army when the Mayor began his brief address.
“The purpose of your organization is to help humanity, and it is the desire of the present Administration to help people along humanitarian lines and to make life as agreeable as possible for every one in this great city,” said Mayor Hylan.
