Lithuanian Sejm Ignores Protest Against Removal of Non-lithuanian Signs

An interpellation to the government concerning instructions to the police to remove store signs in Hebrew characters, as well as in other non-Lithuanian languages, was introduced today by the Jewish deputies, supported by the representatives of the other National Minorities in the Sejm.

The majority of the Lithuanian Sejm, consisting of Christian Democratic groups, rejected the interpellation.
