A movement for establishing a big textile industry in Palestine has been launched here by the Rosenberg Brothers, prominent textile manufacturers of Lodz, the great textile goods centre of Poland, who are now in Palestine in connection with their scheme. The project concerns the establishment in Palestine of a special town completely given over to the textile industry in the same way as Lodz is given over to it in Poland. As a beginning, about 200 to 300 small textile manufacturers will be invited to settle in Palestine and establish their factories there while preparations are being continued for the development of the industry. The project has received the approval of the Zionist Executive.
