The numerus clausus against the Jewish students in the Roumanian Universities will not be introduced, according to a decision taken at a conference of the deans of Roumanian universities with Under-State Secretary Angelescu.
The strike of the anti-Semitic students was broken. Lectures have begun again at the colleges Four of the students who participated in the anti-Jewish demonstrations during the middle of February were sentenced by the court, two to one month in prison, two weeks. The rest were acquitted.
The conference of the deans also decided against accepting regulations compelling the Jewish communities to furnish Jewish corpses for the clinics, as demanded by Professor Alexander Cuza, leader of the Roumanian anti-Semitic movement.
