The Thomas Jefferson Centennial Commission, which has just been appointed, is making arrangements for a joint Protestant, Catholic and Jewish service, to be held at Jefferson’s grave in Monticello, on Sunday, July 4, the centennial of the death of Thomas Jefferson.
Dr. Nathan Krass has been asked to conduct the Jewish service.
A resolution was recently passed by Congress providing for the appropriate observance of the Sesqui-Centennial of American Independence on the centennial of the death of Thomas Jefferson.
