Attacks on Jewish patrons at the Cafe Sadoul and on Jewish passersby in the Belle Ville occurred last night.

The trouble resulted from a squabble which started among Czechoslovakian Jews at the Cafe Sadoul. The rumor was immediately spread that Jews were beating up Frenchmen. A crowd attacked the cafe and other Jewish restaurants, beating the patrons and breaking windows. Intervention by the police restored order.

Moses D. Moss, New York lawyer, died Tuesday. He was 48 years old.

Mr. Moss was graduated from the Law School of New York University in 1902 and had since practiced law here. He was a member of the Grand Street Boys’ Association.
