An enthusiastic reception was given here last night in honor of Chaim Nahum Bialik, Hebrew poet, at the Hotel Lutetia. A large audience attended.

In his address Bialik appealed to the Russian Jews in France to stimulate the Jews of the Western hemisphere with regard to the work of rebuilding Palestine. Addresses were also delivered by Z. Shneur, Hebrew poet, and by H. Zlatopolski.

Cantor Joseph Rosenblatt of New York will receive $25,000 for singing at four days’ services during the High Holidays in Chicago.

The services will be held in the Wigwam auditorium.

The proceeds from the sale of seats will go to the Talmud Torah Beth Rachel Leah, a Hebrew school.

It is expected that 3,300 persons will attend each service.
