The Jewish Religious Council of Lithuania, set up by the former Lithuanian government, was abolished by an order of the present Liberal cabinet.

The previous government established the Council with the support of the Agudath Israel elements of Lithuania.

The Hebrew Culture Congress, which opened here yesterday, is, it was declared here today, an impressive demonstration of the growth of the Hebrew movement in Lithuania. Three hundred delegates are attending the conference.

Dr. Robinson, member of the Lithuanian Sejm, stated in his address before the Congress that in case the cabinet will oppose the Hebrew school system in the country, the Club of Jewish Deputies will oppose the cabinet.
