The Palestine Arab Executive has issued a statement denying that it is entering into any agreement with the Jews in order to obtain their support in the municipal elections in Jerusalem, for the purpose of defeating the present Mayor of Jerusalem, Ragheb Bey Nashashibi, one of the leaders of the opposition Arab party.

The two parties are engaged in a bitter campaign against each other and there have been reports in circulation to the effect that both were trying to secure Jewish support.

Col. Michael Friedsam, President of B. Altman amp; Co, and Chairman of the New York State Educational Commission was re-elected President of the Fifth Avenue Association at the annual meeting of the organization in the Hotel Biltmore Monday.
