Mrs. Israel Zangwill. the widow of the late Israel Zangwill. who is now on a visit to Palestine, was given a reception here last night by the Women’s International Zionist Organization. Replying to the speeches of welcome. Mrs. Zangwill spoke of the part played by women in the up building of new countries and. of her impressions of Palestine. She said that she was particularly impressed by the physical development of the Jewish youth in Palestine. Small as Palestine is, she said, she hoped that through intensive work it would become a great spiritual center, bringing light not only to Jews but to humanity at large.
