The Palestine press features greatly the news of the gift made by Nathan Straus to the United Palestine Appeal and felicitates the philanthropist on his eightieth birthday.
A cablegram was received from Mr. Straus by Miss Henrietta Szold, member of the Jerusalem Executive, that he had cabled the amount of $100,000 through the Anglo-Palestine Bank.
A telegram of congratulations and thanks for the gift was sent by Miss Szold to Mr. Straus.
