Dr. Richard Frankfurter Appointed to Reichstag

Dr. Richard Frankfurter, prominent Berlin lawyer and author, has been selected to represent the Democratic Party in the General Federal Parliament (Reichstag) in succession to the late Deputy Raschig who died last Saturday.

Dr. Frankfurter is a son of the late Rabbi Lazar Frankfurter, and of Ulla Wolff-Frankfurter, who under the penname of Ullrich Frank wrote a number of novels and stories dealing with Jewish life in Germany Dr. Richard Frankfurter is the author of a number of well known novels.

Max Hart, vice president of Hart, Schaffner & Marx, died at his home in chicago on Wednesday. He was 75 years old. Mr. Hart started his career in Chicago as an errand boy in Mandell’s store when he was twelve.

Mr. Hart was a member of the Chicago Sinal Congregation and of the Midway City. Standard, Lake Shore Country and Illinois Athletic Clubs.

The funeral was held last Friday. The interment being at Rosebill Cemetery.
