British Keren Hayesod Welcomes Agency Pact

A resolution welcoming the New York pact on the Jewish Agency was adopted at the British Keren Hayesod conference held here.

The conference expressed the hope that the high aspirations manifested in the resolution of the Non-Zionist Conference will be duly fulfilled.

Copies of the resolution are to be sent to Mr. Marshall with heartiest congratulations, to Dr. Weizmann and to Lord Melchett, the conference decided.

COMMUNICATION TO THE EDITOR

Sir:

From time to time in the past I have felt the want of a place of worship for members of the Bar who are of the Jewish faith and their friends, who have their offices in the downtown section of New York.

Many of our brethren of the Bar still observe the traditional custom of saying their prayers in the late afternoon and immediately after sunset, in addition to saying the Kadish, or Memorial Prayer, in memory of their beloved who have departed this life.

The undersigned have formed themselves into a committee for the purpose of perfecting an organization for filling this great need. The contemplated plan is to obtain quarters in one of the office buildings in the City Hall section.

We shall be glad to hear from any of our brethren of the Bar of the Jewish Faith who are interested in this needful and worthy project.
