2,000 Honor Tchernichowsky, Hebrew Poet, on U.S. Visit

Two thousand Hebraists gathered Saturday evening in Cooper Union Hall at a mass meeting and reception in honor of Dr. Saul Tchernichowsky, Hebrew poet, who is on a visit to this country.

The meeting was held under the auspices of the Histradruth Ivrith. Hebraists organization, and was presided over by Abraham Goldberg. Hillel Bavli, Hebrew poet, and M. Rybalow, editor of the “Hadoar,” were speakers. Dr. Tchernichowsky recited two of his latest poems. An entertainment was given in which David Vardi. Kutai, Ruth Leviash and Mr. Rudinoff participated. Dr. Z. Feldstein of Lithuania also addressed the meeting.
