Representative Florence Kahn was appointed a member of the House Committee on Military Affairs, to take the place of Congressman Frothingham of Massachusetts, who died last summer. Mrs. Kahn is the recipient today of many telegrams of congratulations on her appointment, as the Military Affairs Committee is one of the most important of the House Committees.
The late Julius Kahn, husband of Mrs. Kahn, was chairman of the Military Affairs Committee for a number of years, including the war period. The appointment of Mrs. Kahn to the committee was made yesterday, December 18, the fourth anniversary of her husband’s death.
