Mussolini Defines Status of Religions

“The State is sovereign in the Italian kingdom; the Catholic Church holds certain loyally and voluntarily recognized privileges, and all other religions are freely admitted.”

In these words Premier Mussolini explained to the Italian parliament the status of non-Catholic religions in the country during his speech in the Chamber of Deputies on the Church-State agreement.
