Turkey has made another step forward in its process of westernization with the introduction of a stenographic system in the Turkish language.

The system was invented and perfected by Mr. Ben Aroya, a Jewish teacher. No such system had existed previously. The Ben Aroya system has been adopted for recording the proceedings of the Turkish Parliament. In recognition of his service to the country the Turkish Government has presented him with a special certificate of merit.
