German Prince Fined for Anti-semitic Slur

Prince Lippe was fined three hundred marks by the court of Glogau for contempt of court. The prince addressed a message to the Glogau court president saying, “I congratulate you on your forthcoming appointment as president of the supreme court of Jerusalem.”

Louis V. Aronson, of Newark, N. J., announced that he would contribute $25,000 toward clearing the $100,000 indebtedness on Temple B’nai Abraham upon the condition that the balance of $75,000 is raised. The announcement was made at a bon voyage dinner which a number of his friends tendered Mr. Aronson at the Progress Club before his departure for Europe. Upon this announcement the guests subscribed an additional $22,500, leaving the balance of $52,000 to be obtained.
