In connection with a report in the “Vienna Journal” that Spain is asking the Jews to return there, the Spanish consul in Warsaw today declared that the Spanish government has not planned to especially invite the Jews to emigrate to Spain but that it would like the Jewish emigration to be carried out in accordance with the immigration regulations for all other peoples. The consul states that only circles interested in historical events desired the return of the Spanish Jews because of historical motives but that that does not mean a mass emigration of Jews to Spain.
