In response to a request by rabbis and principals of Jewish religious schools for standardized tests for Jewish history, Rabbi George Zepin, director of the Department of Synagogue and School Extension, of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, has announced the first of such a series prepared by Dr. Julius B. Maller, of New York City, and Rabbi Jacob B. Pollak, of Brooklyn.
Dr. Maller is director of research for the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, and Rabbi Pollak is assistant director for the New York Committee for School Extension of the Union.
