The plenary session of the Ukrainian Yevsektzia, considering the situation of the declassed Jews in the Ukraine, adopted a resolution which runs contrary to the White Russian and Moscow Yevsektzias, which have urged the expulsion of Jewish ex-traders from the artels (ar-tisans’ cooperatives) and from the land collectives.
The Ukrainian Yevsektzia in its resolution expresses categorical opposition to Moscow and Minsk and demands that the declassed Jews be allowed to enter productive work even when they have no right to vote at Soviet general elections. “The general policy of expelling kulaks (rich peasants) from the artels and land collectives is certainly good, but it should, however, not affect the Jewish declassed or even the Jewish ex-traders without rights,” the resolution declares.
