British Colonial Office Head May Resign, Say Rumors

Several papers this morning are discussing rumors that Vernon Hartshorn, postmaster-general in the first Labor government, and now a member of the Simon Commission for India, is likely to succeed Lord Passfield as colonial minister. Nevertheless, the political correspondent of the “Daily Mail” declares that he has authority for stating that the change is not to be immediate, as the report of the Simon Commission will not be presented until February, or possibly March.
