Anti-Semitic disturbances broke out yesterday in Ploesti, a city of 60,000 population not far from Bucharest. A number of Jewish shops were looted and several Jews mishandled. On the other hand quiet and order have been reestablished in Borscha due to the reinforcement of the police force.
Eighteen peasants have been arrested in Borscha on charges of being implicated in the ultimatum that was issued to the Jewish community, early this week, calling on the Jews to leave town before sunset or else take the consequences.
