Maurice Moscovitch, who was a star of the Yiddish stage in New York until he left for England eleven years ago, will appear in the role of a Shylock in a production of “The Merchant of Venice” to be presented in New York about Nov. 24 by Charles Dillingham and the Erlanger Productions, Inc. Previous to his New York engagement Mr. Moscovitch will appear in a two-weeks production of the same play at the Tremont Theatre, Boston, beginning on Nov. 10.

The role of Shylock was the one in which Mr. Moscovitch made his debut on the British stage and in which he scored an immediate success, the engagement lasting ten months. Last January Mr. Moscovitch appeared in New York in the stellar role of Feuchtwanger’s “Josef Suss.”
