The expectations of Polish Jewry that the still legal Czaristic restrictions against the Jews were about to be abolished have not been realized, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learning that the discriminations are still in force. The report which appeared three weeks ago in a part of the Polish press that the minister of justice had signed the decree abolishing the law was somewhat premature. It is now understood that the voiding of the anachronistic legislation is still under consideration.

The premature report credited the minister of justice with signing the decree which could not take effect until President Moscicki signed it.
