A new law which will enable thousands of declassed Jews to join Soviet industries as laborers was issued today by the Soviet Government.

The law says that because of the scarcity of laborers, the government employment bureaus should in the coming season register for work not only members of trade unions as hitherto but also the wives and children of laborers who are not members of trade unions, including all those who never worked before.

The law issued makes it clear that the government employment bureau should make no exceptions and register for work any member of artisans’ families as well as day laborers and poor citizens in general. Thus the new decree opens prospects for thousands of Jewish artisans and declassed people who will now be able to be employed in Soviet industries where they were never admitted before.
