The All-Roumanian Jewish National Party, formed last week under the leadership of ex-Senator Ebner, has proposed an election pact with the Government, on the lines of that concluded by its leaders in 1928 with the Maniu Government. M. Argeoianu, the Minister of the Interior, who concluded the pact with the Liberal Party and the Union of Roumanian Jews, was placed in charge of the negotiations and asked Dr. Filderman, the President of the Union of Roumanian Jews, to join in the discussions. The respective viewpoints of the Union and the Jewish National Party were discussed, and M. Argetoianu expressed his agreement with the policy of the Union of Roumanian Jews and declined to conclude an election pact with the Jewish National Party.
