The necessity for stricter enforcement of the kosher laws in New York City was emphasized by speakers at the convention of the Keneseth Horabonim, an organization of Orthodox rabbis, held this week in New York. The “Agudath Horabonim”, a rival organization of Orthodox rabbis in this country, was severely criticized at the convention.
Among the resolutions adopted was one protesting against the alien registration bill passed recently in Michigan. Other resolutions opposed the teaching of the Bible in connection with the public school system, deplored the recent decision by a League of Nations commission with regard to the Wailing Wall, protested against the limitation of Chalutzim immigration in Palestine and condemned anti-Semitic manifestations in Roumania, Germany, Hungary and Poland.
