Abraham Cahan Sails to See, Hear, Investigate Conditions in Europe

Abraham Cahan, editor of the Jewish Daily Forward, and Mrs. Cahan sailed at noon yesterday on the ### de France for a tour of Europe.

A farewell luncheon was tendered Mr. Cahan by his staff yesterday at the Little Roumanian Rendezvous, 76 Second Avenue. About a hundred persons attended, including representatives of the Forward editorial and business staffs, the Forward Association, the Workmen’s Circle, the Socialist Party and other groups.

Mr. Cahan explained the purpose of his trip as “the desire to see, hear and investigate what is going on in Europe.”
