An all-day program, “The Renaissance of the Arts in Palestine,” was presented in the Illinois Host House at a Century of Progress today. The program was one of the series sponsored by Governor Henry Horner’s art commission.
Palestine paintings and arts and crafts, particularly Bezalel products, were lent and arranged by Mrs. Eli Daiches for the program. Others taking part included Rabbi Jacob Singer, Saul Silverman, Ben-Ami Fox, violinist; Rabbi Samuel Blumenfeld, Mrs. Moses L. Purvin, Nathan Visonsky, folk dancer; Rabbi Felix A. Levy, Evelyn Hattis Fox and David Itkin. Hosts and hostesses were provided by the Bezalel chapter of Avukah.
