According to reports which have reached here from Kerak, Transjordania, the German official, Consul General Wolff, was attacked by Transjordan Arabs, who mistook him for a Jew purchasing land. The German consular official was saved from the crowd with difficulty. Later Emir Abdullah’s government officially apologized for the assault.
