In connection with the exhibition of Sholera Aleichem momentoes and memorabilia which it is arranging in commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of the famous Jewish author’s literary debut, the Yiddish Scientific Institute has issued a call for such material to all cultural institutions bearing the name of Sholem Aleichem.
Such institutions, – to be found in nearly. every country where Jews live, are asked to send pictures, printed matter, reports and all other material descriptive of their activities to the Wilno headquarters of the institute, Wiwul-skiego 18.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
