“The rise of Hitler means the rise of a greater militarism in Germany ## the Kaiser,” declared Dr. Oswald Garrison Villard, one of the editors of The Nation, in a speech before the Men’s Club of Temple Rodeph Sholom here today.

“The danger of war,” asserted Dr. Villard, “has never been so great since 1914 because of Hitler.

“Several officials with whom I talked in Germany say that Germany will be armed in from three to five years. What mystifies the world about Hitler is the speedy way in which he has destroyed many old customs. Some of these customs were hundreds of years old. After one year of his regime, Germany thinks that Hitler spells prosperity.”
