Presidents of 500 local women’s organizations attended a meeting at the Standard Club, held under the auspices of the women’s section of the Chicago Committee for the Defense of Human Rights Against Naziism.

Dr. Morris Goldfield, a refugee from Germany, addressed the gathering. Ways and means of assisting the committee to raise funds for boycott activities against German-made goods were considered. Miss Harriet Vittum, sociologist, heads the women’s group of the Chicago Committee.

Women throughout Chicago are being solicited for membership in the anti-Nazi organization. The committee is seeking pledges from at least 10000 women that they will not buy goods from Nazi Germany.
