Ozet Banners Acclaim Soviet Jewish Colony

Representatives from friendly organizations in the United States, the Antipodes, Latvia, Poland and Africa were among the 600 persons who attended ceremonies at the Jewish Theatre which opened the third plenary session of the Ozet (Society for the promotion of Jewish colonization in Soviet Russia) here last night.

Among the many delegations were representatives from the largest factories in the U.S.S.R., Jewish artisans, writers and pioneers joined in a parade to the meeting place, one group marching behind another, waving aloft banners which praised the Soviet government and expressed unbounded satisfaction with its legislation which promises support toward development of the Jewish autonomous region in Biro-Bidjan.
