A somewhat optimistic note appeared in the Palestine immigration situation today when it was learned that the British government has granted 500 additional certificates of entry to the Holy Land to the Jewish Agency for Palestine.

The provision is made that the certificates are to be given only to Jewish artisans with not less than £250 in capital.

They will be allotted as follows: 200 to Poland, 200 to Germany and 100 to German Jewish refugees now temporarily residing in various countries.
